Earth Day is Sunday, April 22 and this year’s campaign is to End Plastic Pollution! 300 million tons of fossil fuel based plastic is sold each year and 90% of that is thrown away, destroying our food, our water and our health.

Here is a recipe for a delicious, vegan drink made with earth-friendly ingredients. This chocolate treat will give you energy for whatever planet-saving project you are doing this Earth Day, like picking up plastic trash and recycling!

“Save the Earth” Hot Chocolate

1.5 Tsp. Organic Dutch Cocoa Powder

1 Tsp. Organic Cane Sugar

2 Tbsp. Organic Coconut Milk Powder
Sustainable organic coconut plantations avoid use of synthetic fertilizers that would have polluted soil and water.

Directions: Add ingredients to your favorite mug (not a disposable cup!). Mix ingredients with a fork or spoon. Add 8 oz. hot water and stir.
