At Global Organics, chocolate is more than just an ingredient; it’s equal parts people, partnerships, passion and respect. That’s why when our supply partner, Agostoni, invited us to visit cocoa farmers with them in the Dominican Republic, we enthusiastically accepted! As the exclusive importer of Agostoni chocolate and cocoa in North America, we were privileged to see first-hand how cocoa beans are sourced through their Equal Partner Direct Buying Program.

We were inspired to meet the farmers behind the cocoa and realized once again how similar Agostoni’s business model is to our own. We both value long-term relationships and work closely with our partners as equals. Footage and photos from that trip were used to create this video to show what “equal partners” means for everyone that plays a part in our chocolate recipe.
